Overnight Camp - Year 2
We invite Y2’s to a special event at Lound Infant School. As they are so grown up we like them to stay at school and camp with us in real tents – for the whole night!.
There are lots of great things to do like making things, playing sports, building dens, investigating wildlife, sleeping in tents and much more. There are lots of staff that join the overnight camp to make sure everyone has a great time!
The children stay at school after everyone else has gone home and go home at 9 o’clock the next day. We always look forward to this and hope that the children of Y2 will come and have lots of fun with us staying up late and even playing in the dark!
In Year 6 the children are given the opportunity to take part in a Residential Visit to an Outdoor Education centre.
As well as the invaluable experience of being away from home with the peers, developing a deeper sense of responsibility for themselves and others, the children take part in a variety of outdoor and adventurous activities such as canoeing, abseiling, orienteering and archery.
In Year 3 the children visit Whiteley Woods Girl Guiding Camp and stay overnight. They camp in tents and enjoy a stories around a camp fire.
In Year 4 the children will be given the chance to attend an overnight activity. This may be a night at Eureka Science Museum or Weston Park Museum or the Deep.
In Year 5 the children have a night at the Planetarium. This is held in school and the children experience a night under the stars in the school hall.
