Lound Academy is committed to serving the local and global community of which we are a part. We work collaboratively with a number of local organisations and institutions in order to enhance and broaden the experiences of the children at our school.

Parental Links

We are immensely grateful for the support, love and encouragement that our parents bring to this school. We are constantly striving to improve our communication and links with parents and carers. Throughout the year we offer Family Learning Events and “Book Looks” which highlight to parents the fantastic work being produced in our classrooms – deep and immersive learning happens best when it is backed up at home! We actively encourage volunteers to help our children with their learning. If you have a spare hour or two, why not pop in and speak to your class teacher about helping out in the classroom?

The staff at Lound work closely with our local “Family of Schools” across North Sheffield. These cooperative links also inform the Senior Leadership Team of any priorities and strategies that will help to drive our school forward. In addition to working with our “Family”, we have also forged tight links with two other schools from our city. We work with staff from both Beck Primary and Angram Bank Primary schools in order to enhance our professional practice. As a triangulation of schools, we have a collective wealth of expertise, as well as a diversity of backgrounds and experiences. Throughout the academic year, staff from all three schools meet to moderate assessments, observe lessons and take part in professional development activities.
